TJ essay

It was December 26, 2007, a day that I will never forget. This day was a very special day to me because I have met two new friends, who are now my closest friend. It was very early in the morning when I met my two new friends. The sky was very cloudy and there is mist in the surrounding because it was so cold. I met my two new friends that day because my family and I decided to go to Maryland to visit my uncle, so we decided to ask them to go along with us. My two friends name is Nam and Sean. They are very friendly, determine, and have unique personality, which makes me really like them.
First of all, my buddy Sean, he is very shy and generous. He has quite a personality that no one I know has. Compared to Nam, Sean personality is way different because Nam always take one side of everything as he perceive it, but Sean never take any side and always stay outside of any kind of situation. During this trip I’ve grown to like them more. The trip that we took together during December 26, 2007 has made us to become very close and that we began to share everything about our life.
Furthermore, we traveled to many places including going to the Statue of Liberty and visiting Time Square. It was fun when we visited Time Square because my friend Sean said “let take picture guys” and that made everyone laugh including myself. The trip that we went to New York took us about two hours to get there. We all rode in a car with only six seats, which is very cram and sometime it was uncomfortable because there was no room to stretch. In addition, my friend Nam always complained about how he needs to go to sleep, which made me feel very angry at him. It looked like a road trip that I’ve never had experiences before. Our first stop when we first arrived to New York was China Town. It was a small city with so many people running and going to try to do their job. At that time, we were very hungry so we stopped at a Vietnamese restaurant and ate. My family and my friends did not like the food because it was so different from Atlanta, but I enjoyed eating it. When we finished eating, we decided to take the subway to go to the Statue of Liberty. This was my first time actually seeing the Statue of Liberty. We tried our best to make it on time to catch the Ferry to go across the lake to see the Statue of Liberty, but we were late, so we change our plan. After we missed the Ferry to go see that Statue of Liberty, we then decided that we would go to the mall called Time Square to shop. We went shopping for a long time, and nothing was interesting about the mall, and so we decided to head back home.
This trip showed me a lot about my friends because now I see what they are capable of and who they really are. At first, I thought Nam was just a showoff at everything, truly he is good with everything, but later on I realized that Nam is just a person who play around a lot and that he does not really cares about winning or losing, he just want to have fun and make people around him to feel comfortable and have fun also. In conclusion, my trip to Maryland and all the states up North have shows me that friends are hard to find and that if you do find someone who you are close to, then take the opportunity and make that the person who you can trust.
